A Kansas man has died after being admitted to a hospital with a skin condition that may have been caused by cosmetic surgery.
According to a report from the Kansas City Star, the condition is called a skin cancer.
He was in critical condition Wednesday.
He died from a self-inflicted wound.
The report states that the man was in his 20s.
The Star reports that the skin cancer appeared to be on his face, chest, back, hands, legs and neck.
The skin was red, swollen, and painful.
The newspaper said he also had an enlarged heart.
A man’s family is asking for privacy and privacy is not an option.
The family’s attorney says it is not uncommon for people with skin cancers to have cosmetic surgery and not realize it.
