North Florida cosmetologist, Jennifer Zahn, says the new school will have a degree program in cosmetics, and offers in-class workshops for beginners.
Zahn says they have about 500 students enrolled.
“I think it will be a huge opportunity for people,” she said.
“People that are just starting to learn about cosmetography, and how to get a cosmetolgist degree.
It’s a very different way of looking at cosmetistry, it’s very different to traditional medicine, so we really want to build a really good foundation of that, and be able to really help people understand and apply what they learn.”
She says that she wants people to start learning about cosmeceuticals because she believes that it can save their lives.
“You know, in this country, cosmetologists are the ones that take care of the dead, the sick, the wounded, and you know, it takes a lot of people,” Zahn said.
“And they’re also the ones who do all the heavy lifting.
She added that it will also be a good opportunity for students to make connections with others, and to help others learn about the profession.””
So, I think the people that want to really be able that they can actually really make a difference in their lives, and have a real impact on the world, and are really dedicated and passionate about the field, are going to be the ones.”
She added that it will also be a good opportunity for students to make connections with others, and to help others learn about the profession.
“This is going to help people be able take that next step in their career,” Zhan said.
Zahn said they are looking for volunteers to come work at the new Cosmetology school, and that the school will likely be open to all students, but she said they may only accept students with a cosmecurity degree.
Students who want to attend the school, can call the school at 855-945-2360, or email the school to learn more.
